WELCOME TO SSWIGS

SSWIGS (Students of Swansea in Guides and Scouts) is affiliated to SSAGO (Student Scout and Guide Organisation), a national organisation that allows people to stay connected to the Scouting and Guiding movements whilst at university or join it if they have never been a member and like the look of what we do! We area society of Swansea University but welcome members from Swansea Metropolitan University.

If you've ever been involved in Guiding or Scouting and you like the look of what we do, then feel free to turn up to any of our meetings; or you can email us at swanseasswigs@yahoo.co.uk for more info and we'll get back to you ASAP!

What We Do?

As a society we meet on Thursday nights, doing a wide variety of activities ranging from shooting and climbing to cooking competitions, mini pioneering and pub crawls.  Of course we also get out camping, joining in with three national SSAGO rallies each year where there are plenty of activities, silly games, campfires and barn dances!  Also as a club we run two or three more camps in each year.

We can also help those that would like to be involved in helping with Guide or Scout groups in the local community, putting people in touch with groups that are always after willing volunteers.
