The way their tears make you want to change the world so that it doesn't hurt her anymore.....Yet regardless if you love them, hate them, wish they would die or know that you would die without them ... it matters not. Because once in your life, whatever they were to the world they become everything to you. When you look them in the eye, traveling to the depths of their souls and you say a million things without trace of a sound, you know that your own life is inevitable consumed within the rhythmic beatings of her very heart. We love them for a million reasons, No words would do it justice. It is a thing not of the mind but of the heart.

A section from a chain letter I got. Makes sense. It concerns how men love women. Kinda cool I thought. Made me stop and think. Good stuff.

Currently in the middle of my dissertation that is really trying. The last hurdle is always an arse; especially as its not due till friday and I've got it nearly done. I want to have it done by monday so that I can get on with other stuff like Internet Computing and my essay on the History and Culture of Apple Computers. Oh and maybe some revision!

Feels a little weird being in Swansea; the culture gap and change in myself between Swansea and home is quite large. I'll adjust eventually but it just seems a little bizarre at the moment. Found an interesting website about the UCCF called www.fightingfundamentalism.com. Written by a University chaplin from Kent it explains quite well the isssues concerning the UCCF and a lot of the christian organisations that are present within Universities.

Am liking the new Westwood album 'the jump off' and Lost prophets 'start something' as usual. Also liking latest book by the boys behind Funky Business, karaoke capitalism
In a Nutshell: Be different, be yourself as its the only thing that will differentiate a company from
another company as we live in a information rich world, where new ideas can be copied within minutes, hours, weeks, months. The only way to survive is to have a constant innovation process.

Also looking at Political betting, TradeSports.com has some interesting bets on finding Bin Laden and VP Democrats nomination.

It's now just over a week and a day since the A-team clean sweep of election day. That I think is enough time to have reflected and considered the events and how they have effected me.

Things I didn't foresee:
The amount of hate aimed at people who succeed, not a lot love out for The A-Team.

The way I don't feel as good as I thought I would. No feelings of euphoria, no "woo-woo" kinda shouting and feeling stuff.
Not sure I expected it to be like awesome but better than I feel now. Bizarre really considering the amount of effort and planning that has gone into this. I think that it'd be ok once I'm in the role its just this interim period that may be an issue.
Plus everyone just seems to want to put problems in front of me rather than helping which isn't nice.

Female Attention. Why do women dig people they think are suddenly powerful? I'm no different than two weeks ago.
Yet they seem to be more interested in me. I don't understand.

Things I wish I knew before the election

Plans are good; ideals upon which to make decisions are better.

When trouble rains, it pores.

Music and coffee are your friends; anyone who tells you different should get a real life.

Lessons learnt

You're always going to piss someone off; better to be clear and up front about what you are and what you stand for then some kiss ass who tries to please everyone.

A name remembered is worth two key cool policies any day of the week.

Orange juice is your friend.

Final thought: Think different

After the second round, Red won. No figures as of yet, but by at least 200 votes in the second round.
The A' team succeed again.
After a recount Kelly McQueen was elected Women's Officer

Kelly McQueen 649
Bethan Thomas 617
RON 25
Spoils 50

Total Electorate: 1291

Percentage of vote to victor: 50.27%

Close percentage wise yet a good result for the A' Team again.
First result in:

Neo elected as International Officer

Neo Mooki 874
Chelly Skinner 405
RON 18

Total Electorate: 1279

Percentage of vote to victor: 68.3%

Didn't think Neo would win by so much. Does indeed bode well for the A' Team.
It's been a while - but now is the time to Blog.

Its the night before the Sabbactical elections here in Swansea. I feel surprisingly calm! yet there is a sense of turning a corner as if win, or lose things will never be the same. I can do whatever I put my mind to, the only thing stopping me is me. I'm tired yet aware, fatigued yet stoked, because I can see the end in sight, I can judge how much energy I have left and how far I need to go. If this were Late-Night poker I'm about to go all in; its time to face the fear, face the prospect of losing and see how brave I can be.

Let's Roll, let's roll.

Again an angry late-night post...

Today I was told that I was acting out of my place, asking questions that shouldn't be asked and doing things that were assuming that I was already something I am not.

The day I stop asking difficult and 'inappropriate' questions is the day I die. You can batter me, bruise me, but no matter what I will prevail when it comes to the expression of my opinion and my search for the truth about things. I believe that I can do good for people by asking hard questions of people. The journalist in me is always looking for an angle, an aspect they don't want you to see, a word not said. It is in this arena of debate that I do best.

The question that remains is will I give up some of my questions in exchange for electoral success? Never.

Am I being too arogant in my manner at the moment? dunno. Don't think so, but its always good to tone it down a bit. I'd hope that enough people would be my friend to point it out if I was, cause that does take a real friend.

This is turning into a very educational process. I think that I'm learning a lot about myself and my abilities as both a leader and a Politician. I don't think I'm that good a Politician! Yet I reckon thats a good thing. lol.

As The Rock would say: Time to lay the smack down...

"The leaders I met, whatever walk of life they were from, whatever institutions they were presiding over, always referred back to the same failure something that happened to them that was personally difficult, even traumatic, something that made them feel that desperate sense of hitting bottom--as something they thought was almost a necessity. It's as if at that moment the iron entered their soul; that moment created the resilience that leaders need."
-- Warren G. Bennis (b. 1925), American writer, educator, University of Southern California sociologist

"There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order to things."
-- Niccolo Machiavelli (1469-1527), Italian political theorist, writer, "The Prince"

"If you don't like the way the world is, you change it. You have an obligation to change it. You just do it one step at a time."
-- Marian Wright Edelman (b. 1939), American writer, author

Diss me but don't diss what I believe in

Someone today dissed an institution that I believe in. They said that if anyone believed that it was like the real world they were very much mistaken and that anything that anyone was in that institution was nothing in the real world. They attacked something that is very dear to me; my belief. My belief in something that has the ability to help people. That they should question the said institution I am all for. Too many things in this world go unquestioned. Yet to dismiss it out of reason is to be ignorant of the 'real' world. Life is as real as you want it to be, as real as you make it.

A mess? A world of mess... and trouble, but good trouble. I think. Women, insert your own witty explanation of them and why you can't live with them or without them. Time for more revision now. Last one, one more push!

Always aim at complete harmony of thought and word and deed. Always aim at purifying your thoughts and everything will be well.

ADT's is over; the nightmare wasn't quite as bad as I thought. Dean took a hammering in Iowa yet I honestly believe that in the long run that will have done him well, as now he must raise his game yet again. This afternoon I'm giving a talk on Swansea life to some prospective students again, should be ok, starting to get use to it now. The Swansea Summer session I think this year will be awesome! From what people are saying it all looks good.
