To doodle is to let the mind run
to let the unconscious control the hand
expressiveness beyond the rational
can be derived from a simple squiggle on the page

Margins & off-cuts are the domain
of this art form
doodles in an exhibition
doodles up for auction
Several millions of dollars
for a cube with a triangle on the side
or a few diagonal squiggles with a border of leaves

This is obviously fantasy
but what if it were true?
Move aside Gainsborough
for Mr Jones from Swansea
Is here to steel your pride!
