As the experienced archers in the club know, BUTC happens every year at some point in mid February.

This year, we’re hoping to do better than all previous attempts and making it into the 2nd round of elimination matches (Me, Shaun and Peter came close in 2009 (stupid line cutters))

If any of the Recurve (Freestyle and Barebow) archers are interested in making a team (or two maybe)* then please let me know by Friday 29th of October so I can get an idea of how many people are interested (This year we’re going to try and do some training/ practice for the actual competition) then let me know by emailing me at zoglet101″at”hotmail.com. **

Hi everyone,

I would like to welcome all returning club members back and a warm welcome to the people that joined at Freshers this week.

Firstly: Our sessions begin on Wednesday the 6th October at 7pm in the Main Sports Hall. If you are unsure where this is don’t worry, James our Social Secretary will be out side Fulton House at 6:45 to bring people across to the Hall. Don’t forget you £1.50 to get into the sports hall, no money no entry.

Secondly: I have had a few emails about what people need to bring. If you have your own archery kit please bring it along with you when you come. However if you do not have your own kit there is no problem as we will provide you with everything you will need to get shooting. Wear a sensible set of clothes that you are comfortable to shoot in, no tops which have loose hanging straps that can’t be tied out of the way as these might get caught in the bow string when shooting.

Thirdly: If you were unable to join Archery at freshers fayer, you can still join the club. Just bring your AU card and membership money (£20) to the first session and we can sign you up there and then.
