BUCS Outdoors Results

Well done to everyone that shot at BUCS outdoors this weekend. Both the experianced and novice teams managed to record their highest ever scores this year, lets hope this is a good indication of things to come next year.

BUCS Outdoors 2009

Meeting in front of Fulton House between 10 and 10:30 am, aiming to leave at 11am.Â

I know this is early, but based on previous experiance, I'm expecting something toÂ go horribly wrong.

MPFs are Â£10 which are payable to EmmaÂ on Friday before we go.

Can people with tents please let me know ASAP (email address is Zoglet101 "at" hotmail.com) as we are being charged for how many tents we take (so it makes sense to take as few tents as needed)

I understand that BUCS is a great chance to socialise (before and after shooting especally) but if Warwick have set out practice bosses, I strongly advise that people check sightmarks on friday evening (provided the weather is ok).

Website Problems

Due to a hardware failure, the website has been out of action for the last few days. The SUCS people have replaced and rebuiilt the server, so hopefully there should be no more problems. I don't think we lost anything, but if you posted on the message board and it's not there any more then sorry, but you'll have to try again! If you find any problems, let me know.

Field Shoot 21st March

Hi Guys,

Just the official notice about the field shoot

I'm planning for it to be on the 21st (never!). From the count this evening i'm going to assume that there's not going to be a huge number of us. In light of that we'll meet outside Fulton house to LEAVE at 9.30. Hopefully we can get shooting not long after 10, and given that it stays lighter for longer these days, we shouldn't be under any time pressure, unlike last time!

Hope to see many of you there!

For the boring people who don't want to go there will be a regular Saturday shoot

BUTC 2009 Post Comp

Hey,
Just a quick message to say a big thank you to everyone who helped on Saturday, from scoring to moving targets and all the things being done behind the scene, your help was really really appreciated.
Also a big well done to Shaun, Rhodri and Peter and Alice, Emma and Charlotte with there shooting and getting to the elimination rounds.
From comments made by the archers that were there and facebooks statuses, eveyone had a great time not only at the shoot but at the social as well.
So again well done Swansea.

Club Kit

Hi everyone,

Please can the people who haven't paid me for the club kit make sure they pay me before the end of term. I will not be at archery on Monday 1st of Dec for very long but Craig has a list of what people owe money and how much they owe. If you no longer want the kit that has been ordered for you please let me know ASAP so it can be sold to people who might want it.

Welcome to UWS Archery Club 08/09

Hey all

Just a quick note to say that freshers week is coming along very quickly! We'll be inÂ Dining Room A/B/CÂ in Fulton House for freshers fayre on Wednesday 24^th and Thursday 25^th of September for any members, new or old, who want to sign up for the club. Whether you've shot before or not, and even if you're just interested in what it's all about, come and talk to us at the stall. Just look for the big red stuffed dragon wielding a bow! Unless she's been nicked by past club members

Especially important to older members, (once again) this year everyone is being forced to sign up to the AU online. You can't just pick up a card at the AU desk like in previous years, you must first go to http://www.suau.co.uk and enter all your details. This is a requirement for all sports clubs (a full list of which is available on the AU website above), not just archery. Once you have signed up to the Athletics Union (AU) you will be able to shoot using the club equipment and more importantly are covered by the insurance.

First Novice session is on 29^th of September in the old Pavillion (see session information link on left).

Any questions, feel free to come and find us in and around university (look out for the green archery tops), click on Contact Us on the left, or sign onto the site and send a message that way. Hope to see many of you at freshers fayre!
